Pros: As a Front Desk Agent in Hong Kong, the daily routine is pretty standard. You usually get fixed shifts, which helps you plan your life outside of work. The hotel industry generally tries to keep things to a 40-hour work week, which is decent for work-life balance here.
Cons: Some shifts are really early or late, like the graveyard shift. It can mess with your sleep schedule big time. Swapping shifts isn't always easy, especially during peak season for this corporate hotel. You don't get much flexibility.
Advice to Management: Giving frontline staff, especially those in guest services, more options for shift flexibility would be a huge morale booster. It's tough to have a good personal life with inconsistent hours.
