Good Start, Then Stagnation for Finance Roles
Pros: I learned a lot about corporate finance and financial modeling during my first year. The training for new Financial Analysts in the New York City office was pretty solid, giving good initial exposure to the financial services industry.
Cons: There's no clear path for promotion after Senior Analyst, especially in corporate finance. You hit a wall pretty fast, and it's hard to move up without someone leaving. Career growth is just slow for mid-level roles here.
Advice to Management: Managers need to outline clear career progression paths. It feels like a 'wait your turn' game, and that's frustrating for ambitious employees in finance roles.

Decent Pay, But Don't Expect Big Bonuses
Pros: As a Financial Analyst here, the base salary is pretty competitive for the fintech industry in our New York City office. They've got a decent 401k match, which is good for planning. Health insurance benefits are solid; I didn't have many complaints there.
Cons: Bonuses aren't what they used to be, especially for mid-level financial services roles. Raises feel pretty small, even with good performance reviews. There's no real perks beyond the basics, which other companies offer.
Advice to Management: Review the compensation structure, especially for bonuses and annual raises. It's tough to retain talent when the pay isn't keeping up.
