Good vibes, but startup hustle is real
Pros: The people here are really smart and collaborative. As a Software Engineer, I've enjoyed working on interesting machine learning projects. Plus, the hybrid work model gives some decent flexibility.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit chaotic sometimes. There's not always clear communication from upper management. Sometimes it's tough to get clear direction on bigger AI solutions.
Advice to Management: Try to provide more consistent communication and clearer roadmaps for projects. The teams are strong, but need better guidance.

Pay is Solid, Benefits Are Just Okay
Pros: For an AI Engineer in San Francisco, the base salary was pretty strong. I felt like my skills were valued in terms of pay. The 401k matching was also decent, which is a big plus.
Cons: Healthcare benefits were quite expensive, taking a chunk out of my paycheck. There wasn't much room for annual bonuses or stock options beyond the initial grant. It definitely wasn't a "total compensation" leader compared to other big tech places.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the health insurance plans and consider more regular bonus structures. It would really help with retention for folks in AI roles.

Leadership needs some work here
Pros: I learned a lot about AI development and machine learning projects, which is great for a Junior Data Scientist. The team in the San Francisco office is super collaborative, always ready to help each other out. Good for building foundational skills in the AI industry.
Cons: Leadership can be pretty hands-off sometimes, almost to the point of being absent. There's not much clear direction for career growth, especially for those of us in data science roles. Decisions feel a bit arbitrary and not always well-communicated.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication strategies and provide more structured mentorship for individual contributors, especially for early career professionals. Better define paths for advancement within AI Digital.
