Runcit Media Sdn Bhd In The Beginning Launched in 1988, Rural Reach pioneered the Retail Advertising Panel (RAP) as an affordable alternative for brands to communicate with suburban and rural areas across Malaysia. RAP have since become familiar landmarks in Malaysia as effective point of purchase media and outdoor shop signage for the traditional retailers. Due to its popularity and demand, Rural Reach has widened its coverage and established a comprehensive network of more than 7,000 shops in over 1,200 towns in both Peninsular and East Malaysia. Rural Reach is the only media company in Malaysia offering direct coverage and face-to-face contact with owners of traditional retail outlets. Our unique positioning provides clients with invaluable market intelligence and insights into the traditional trade. Our impressive client list, both past and present, includes many market-leading FMCG companies: Colgate-Palmolive, Danone, Dumex, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Nestle, Lam Soon, Malaysia Milk, Southern Lion, etc. Their partnership is strong testimony to our success and reflects their continuing support for the traditional retail trade, which is the hardest retail market to penetrate. Our New Identity The excellent working relationship with our partners has inspired Rural Reach to reinvent itself to further revolutionise its services in tandem with the fast-changing consumer retail environment. In April 2005, Rural Reach changed its name to Runcit Media Sdn Bhd and is currently located at No. 31, Jalan Changgai 6/22, 46000 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The new name and new business strategies have strengthened the company’s niche position as Malaysia’s foremost traditional retail specialist. The transformation has allowed Runcit Media to take ownership of the new concept of providing brand exposure, trade feedback and B2B touch-points in the nationwide network of traditional retailing.
