Since its incorporation in 1994, V-Tech has expanded into a market leader in the field of machinery and tools for industrial use. In 2010, the company has expended and merged with Canaan and formed VTECH CANAAN GROUP, which is also a joint-venture with multi-national corporations from throughout the region and managed by an Executive Board with members based in Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. The division of The Executive Board is responsible for strategy, portfolio policy, human resource management and the monitoring of the execution of company policies among other processes.

Okay for a Start, Culture Needs Work

Pros: It's a solid place to get hands-on experience, especially for a Junior Mechanical Engineer. You learn a lot about heavy machinery and industrial equipment on the factory floor. My direct team was mostly supportive, which helped with the learning curve onsite.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty traditional and top-down. As an engineer, it's tough to get new design ideas approved, and innovation isn't really encouraged. There's not much work flexibility, and the long hours for production deadlines can really hit your work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Encourage more bottom-up innovation and actively seek input from junior engineers. Modernize the company culture to retain talent and improve overall morale, especially regarding work flexibility. Show more
