Leadership Can Be a Real Mixed Bag
Pros: I really enjoyed the remote work flexibility for my Software Engineer role. My immediate team was supportive, and we had some interesting technical challenges in software development.
Cons: Upper management often lacks a clear vision for product direction. It makes it hard to see how individual contributions impact the bigger picture, affecting motivation. There's not much transparency from leadership, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Focus on developing a clear product roadmap and communicating it openly to all teams. Empower team leads more and provide better mentorship opportunities for engineering talent.

Decent Flexibility, But Hybrid Can Be Tricky
Pros: They do offer a hybrid model, which is nice for some. We get a couple of WFH days a week. It helps with personal appointments and avoiding the Seattle traffic, which is a big plus for work-life balance.
Cons: The "mandated" office days can feel rigid and sometimes pointless. It's tough when teams are split, some in the Seattle office, others fully remote. This often makes collaboration a bit clunky, honestly.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the current hybrid model. Make it more genuinely flexible for teams, especially for us Software Engineers. Consider offering more full WFH options where it truly makes sense for productivity.

Decent Place for Software Engineers, but with Quirks
Pros: As a Software Engineer in the Austin, TX office, the hybrid work model was a huge plus for me. The benefits package is solid, especially the health insurance and 401k matching. I also really liked my immediate team; everyone was super helpful and friendly in the tech industry.
Cons: Career growth for engineering roles can be tough here. The promotion path isn't very clear, and it feels like upper management makes decisions without much input from engineers. Sometimes, I found myself putting in really long hours, especially before major releases.
Advice to Management: Management needs to focus on clearer career paths for individual contributors, especially in engineering. Better communication about strategic decisions would also help morale and trust.
