Pros: You learn a lot in telecom infrastructure projects. There's good exposure to major clients in Kuala Lumpur. Sometimes, if a project isn't urgent, you can actually leave on time.
Cons: Work-life balance here isn't great, especially for project engineer roles. It's common to work 10-12 hour days, and weekend work often happens during project deadlines. There's constant pressure to deliver, which makes onsite work draining.
Advice to Management: Try to staff projects better to reduce the individual workload. Recognize when teams are consistently pulling long hours.
