Junior Civil Engineer
3.9

Decent stability for an engineering firm.
Pros: As a Junior Civil Engineer here, I felt pretty secure. This mid-sized engineering consulting firm always has new infrastructure projects, so there's solid work. Layoffs weren't a big concern, which is reassuring for job security.
Cons: The path for Project Engineer roles feels pretty slow sometimes. You don't see quick pay bumps, and career growth in structural design can lag. It's stable, but not super dynamic for ambitious professionals.
Advice to Management: Look into faster promotion tracks and more competitive compensation for engineering talent to retain good people. It would help with career growth for current Project Engineers.
