Pros: I liked the hybrid work model; it offers some flexibility, especially for us Junior Consultants. Splitting time between the Chicago office and WFH helps break up the week. It prevents total burnout from always being onsite with clients.
Cons: Client demands mean long hours, often 55-60+ a week, which really eats into personal time. There's huge pressure on these management consulting projects. So, it's tough to maintain a decent work-life balance when deadlines hit hard.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries for project timelines. Our teams need more space between intense sprints. It would help everyone's overall well-being and prevent burnout.
