Pros: I like the option to work from home a couple of days a week. For a mid-sized tech company, it's decent. Being able to skip the Austin traffic on WFH days is a huge plus as a Software Engineer.
Cons: The 'flexibility' often feels structured. It's not truly flexible if you're expected in the office on specific days, even if there's no real reason for it. This rigid hybrid model can make planning personal appointments tough.
Advice to Management: Give teams more autonomy over their hybrid schedule. Trust employees, especially for software development roles, to manage their own time and choose when to come into the office without fixed mandates.
