Logistics Coordinator

Work-life balance is okay, but can be tough.
Pros: As a Logistics Coordinator, I've had some decent days with a regular 9-to-5. The hybrid work option sometimes helps when you need it for personal stuff. For entry-level supply chain roles, it's a solid place to learn.
Cons: There's a lot of pressure during peak seasons, especially with tight deadlines in supply chain management. Weekends can get cut short sometimes, and work often spills into evenings, which isn't great for personal life. The KL office gets really hectic during those times.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into staffing levels, especially for key supply chain roles, to reduce the reliance on overtime. Better resource planning would significantly improve employee well-being and prevent burnout.

Leadership Team Needs to Step Up
Pros: As a Logistics Coordinator, I've definitely learned a lot about international freight forwarding. The team culture among peers is pretty solid, and you get decent exposure to the regional supply chain operations in Kuala Lumpur.
Cons: Leadership is often too distant; it's hard to get clear guidance or feedback on your performance. There's not much of a path for career growth here, especially for entry-level roles in a mid-sized logistics company.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more present and provide clearer roadmaps for employees. Investing in leadership training for department heads would probably help a lot with retention and employee morale.

Decent team, but the culture needs a real push.
Pros: Working onsite in Kuala Lumpur, the team spirit among my fellow Logistics Coordinators was actually pretty solid. We helped each other navigate the daily supply chain operations. That camaraderie made the long days feel a bit better.
Cons: The company culture itself feels pretty rigid though. There's not much recognition for putting in extra effort, which kinda sucks. You sometimes feel like just another cog in a big corporate machine, not really valued.
Advice to Management: Try to foster a more open culture where employee input is genuinely valued. Regular recognition and clear career pathing for roles like Logistics Coordinator would also really help morale and retention.
