Pros: I liked working with my immediate team; they were usually super helpful. For IT services, the actual troubleshooting in data center environments was often interesting. The hybrid model for our Dallas office provided solid work flexibility.
Cons: Upper leadership feels pretty disconnected from what we do daily. They don't give a lot of clear guidance, especially for a corporate setup. It's tough to see a path for career growth beyond your current IT support role.
Advice to Management: Spend more time understanding the frontline IT services roles. Provide clearer vision and better pathways for career development, especially for specialists in data center maintenance. Manager training on effective communication would also help.
