Pros: As a Network Engineer, I liked the hybrid setup. You could get a couple WFH days per week. This helped a lot with personal stuff.
Cons: But full remote wasn't really an option. If there were urgent IT infrastructure problems, you had to be onsite. Not great for true work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Consider more trust and flexibility for experienced Network Engineers. Streamline the approval process for remote work requests.

Pros: On quieter weeks, it's possible to stick to standard hours in the Jakarta office. The team for network operations is generally supportive, which helps. I've even had a few times where some remote work was allowed when not much was happening.
Cons: When there's a big telecommunications infrastructure project, work-life balance goes out the window. As a Network Engineer, you'll be putting in serious overtime, often staying really late. It's mostly onsite work and weekends can be expected.
Advice to Management: Leadership really needs to staff better during peak telecommunications infrastructure projects. It would help Network Engineers maintain a healthier life outside of work.
