Pros: Eastspring is a big name in asset management, so the company itself feels stable. They don't just lay people off for no reason. For typical investment roles, you're usually fine if you perform well.
Cons: There's a lot of internal restructuring, especially for back-office and middle-office functions in the Singapore office. You can feel like your team might merge or change reporting lines without much warning. It creates some uncertainty about long-term roles here.
Advice to Management: Management should communicate upcoming restructures more transparently and earlier. It would help reduce anxiety among employees, especially those in operations or support functions.

Pros: The base salary for Investment Analyst roles is actually pretty solid. You also get good medical and dental benefits, which is a big plus here in Singapore. It's a stable place to work, typical for a large financial firm.
Cons: The bonus structure isn't very transparent, and it often feels a bit low for the hours put in. Getting decent raises can be tough too; they seem to be very by-the-book. I've seen better total compensation in other asset management industry roles.
Advice to Management: Review the bonus structure and make it more transparent and competitive for Investment Analyst positions. It'd help a lot with retention in the Singapore office.

Pros: As an Investment Analyst, I've found job security here is pretty solid when the market's good. They're a big player in the asset management industry, so it's not like a small startup. The company offers decent benefits too.
Cons: However, during market downturns, you can feel a bit vulnerable. There's less assurance if the economy takes a hit, especially for junior investment roles. It's just the nature of finance, I guess, but it makes you nervous sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate more transparently during uncertain economic times. It helps ease employee anxieties about their long-term prospects here.
