Pros: I've learned a lot technically as a Software Engineer. The hybrid work setup in our Austin, TX office is pretty solid. It's a stable, mid-sized tech company with decent benefits.
Cons: Career growth is really slow here. There aren't clear paths for advancement, and I feel like I'm stuck on similar projects. Management doesn't offer much in terms of formal mentorship or professional development for software roles.
Advice to Management: You really need to invest in clearer career paths and offer more mentorship. Give engineers varied project assignments so we can actually build new skills and grow.
