Flexibility is Tough in Hospitality Here
Pros: The team is solid, which helps when shifts get crazy. You learn a lot about the hospitality industry quickly. Working in the Kuala Lumpur office means a great city vibe, even if you're stuck inside.
Cons: Work flexibility is almost non-existent for guest service associate roles. Scheduling changes happen last minute, which makes personal life planning really tough. Don't expect much WFH; it's an onsite job, obviously, but even minor shift swaps are hard to get approved.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more predictable schedules. Even small changes would make a big difference for staff retention in our Kuala Lumpur location.

Okay stability for hotel roles
Pros: The job security for a Front Desk Agent here is pretty decent because it's a known corporate hotel brand, Amari. There's usually a steady flow of guests at the Kuala Lumpur hotel, which helps keep things consistent. It's not like a small startup; there's a good foundation.
Cons: While the job security is okay, it's not ironclad. The hospitality industry can be really sensitive to travel changes, and sometimes hours for staff can fluctuate a lot with occupancy rates. It's something to consider for frontline roles.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more predictable scheduling, even when occupancy changes. It helps staff feel more secure in their income, especially for key operational roles like the Front Desk Agent team.
