Stable Place, Culture Can Be Stiff
Pros: You get solid job security here, which is great in the financial regulation sector. I learned a ton as a new Financial Analyst, especially about monetary policy. The benefits package is pretty decent for a large institution in Kuala Lumpur.
Cons: The company culture feels really hierarchical, so don't expect much flexibility. Decision-making can be super slow, which isn't always great for innovation in central banking. It's an onsite role, and sometimes work-life balance takes a hit because of strict traditional hours.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage more agile processes and reduce the rigid hierarchy. A bit more work-life flexibility would really help morale and potentially boost innovation within the central bank.
