Leadership's Okay, But Can Be Disconnected
Pros: My direct manager in the Chicago office was awesome; she really helped me navigate tough client situations. There's solid autonomy for Account Executive roles once you're established, which is good for developing your own client portfolio within the marketing agency.
Cons: Senior leadership often makes big decisions that don't seem to consider how they impact our active client accounts. It's frustrating when you feel like your feedback as a client-facing professional isn't really heard or valued by the top.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more with the teams on the ground, especially those of us directly managing client relationships. Real transparency and listening to feedback from Account Executives would make a huge difference in this advertising industry.

Marketing Coordinator

Pay is okay, benefits could be better.
Pros: The base salary for a Marketing Coordinator here is pretty standard for a mid-sized digital marketing agency in Boston. They do have a decent 401k match, which helps.
Cons: Health insurance premiums are pretty high, even for a single person. Raises aren't very frequent, and bonuses are rare, which makes it tough to feel like you're growing financially. Paid time off is just okay; it's not super generous compared to other places.
Advice to Management: Look into making health insurance more affordable and create a clearer path for salary increases and performance-based bonuses. It would really help with employee retention, especially for roles like ours in the Boston office.
