Work-Life Balance Can Be Tricky Here

Pros: It's a pretty stable environment, which is nice. As an Operations Executive in the Kuala Lumpur office, I did appreciate the standard hours most days. Plus, they're okay with planned time off.
Cons: However, it often felt like my work-life balance wasn't a priority. You'll definitely put in extra hours, especially handling projects in this services industry. It can be tough to disconnect after work, even from home.
Advice to Management: Managers need to really watch team workloads and actively encourage folks to take breaks. It would help if there was better planning for peak periods to avoid constant crunch time. Show more

Solid place, but culture needs a boost

Pros: I liked working with my immediate team in the Kuala Lumpur office. Everyone's generally supportive, especially for new Project Coordinator roles getting up to speed. There's a decent sense of community within smaller groups.
Cons: The overall company culture sometimes feels resistant to change. It's hard to introduce new methods in the facilities management industry. Senior management doesn't always foster a truly open feedback environment.
Advice to Management: Encourage more cross-departmental collaboration and actively seek out and implement fresh ideas from all levels. Don't be afraid to challenge old ways of doing things in the facilities management sector. Show more

Leadership is okay, but needs to listen more

Pros: My direct manager was really supportive. They'd always back us up as Account Executives, which made meeting targets easier. There's good guidance for day-to-day sales in the Kuala Lumpur office.
Cons: Senior leadership can feel pretty disconnected. It's hard to get decisions made quickly, which is a big deal in the fast-paced facilities management industry. There's a lack of clear strategic vision from the top sometimes.
Advice to Management: Focus on empowering middle management more. Listen to the ground-level employees; we're often the first to see issues. Improve communication of long-term company vision. Show more
