Premier Oil Indonesia is the operator of Natuna Sea Block A and holds equity in Kakap. The two PSCs are located adjacent to each other some 500 kilometres north east of Singapore in the West Natuna Sea. Gas is produced from the Anoa and Gajah Baru gas fields in Natuna Sea Block A and from fields in the Kakap PSC and exported to Singapore through the 650 kilometre WNTS pipeline. Further discovered gas reserves on the block at Pelikan and Naga are in the process of being developed.
Premier Oil Indonesia also has equity in Block A Aceh, which contains four undeveloped gas discoveries for which development planning is ongoing, and in the Tuna block in the Natuna Sea, where exploration drilling has encountered oil shows and further drilling is being planned

Pros: The teams are solid here, especially for new Field Engineers. There's good camaraderie among colleagues in the Jakarta office. You can learn a lot if you're proactive in upstream operations, which is a plus for those early in their energy sector careers.
Cons: Decision-making can feel slow within this large corporate structure. There's not enough transparency on career growth paths for onsite technical roles. Work-life balance for Field Engineers can be tough, especially with the demanding project schedules.
Advice to Management: Management should work on clearer career frameworks for technical staff, especially for Field Engineers. Improving communication around project timelines and workload could really help improve the overall company culture and reduce burnout.
