MIDA offers solid stability in public sector
Pros: The job security here is really strong, which is a huge deal for me. As an Investment Officer, you feel rooted. It's a very stable career path within a government agency.
Cons: Growth can feel slow sometimes. It's hard to see quick promotions or new challenges in the economic development space. There's not much work flexibility either, it's mostly onsite work at the Kuala Lumpur office.
Advice to Management: Speed up career progression tracks for staff. Give us more opportunities for cross-departmental projects to keep things fresh and engaging.
