Pros: I really appreciate the job stability that comes with working for a large, established company like Schneider Electric in the energy management industry. There are fantastic learning opportunities, especially with new products and solutions in automation and digitalization. My colleagues and immediate team are incredibly supportive, which makes the day-to-day much easier. The hybrid model for my role based out of Boston, MA, also gives me the flexibility I need.
Cons: While there's a lot to like, career advancement can feel a bit slow sometimes, especially in certain specialized field service engineering tracks. The promotion process isn't always super clear, and it can take a while to move up. Also, internal communication can occasionally feel a bit siloed between different departments, which sometimes makes cross-functional projects a little more challenging than they need to be.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer, more transparent paths for career progression and promotion within field service engineering roles. Improve inter-departmental communication to streamline project execution.
