Okay flexibility, but room to grow
Pros: The hybrid work model is a decent perk for us Network Engineers in the Stockholm office. Getting a few days to work from home helps avoid the commute and focus on 5G projects. It's good to have that option.
Cons: Despite the 'flexibility' talk, it's tough to truly work remotely here. Some managers push for more onsite days than policy, making it feel less flexible for core telecommunications engineering. It's a bit of a corporate headache.
Advice to Management: Trust employees more with true remote or flexible schedules. The current hybrid model often feels like an office mandate with less actual choice for many roles, especially in core networking.

Hybrid Model is Okay, But Could Be Better
Pros: I do get some flexibility with a hybrid work model, which is nice. For certain planning tasks, I can work from home a couple of days a week. It helps avoid the daily commute to the Plano office sometimes.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't really there for most Network Engineer roles. You're still expected to be onsite a lot, especially for hardware maintenance or specific testing in the telecom industry. It limits how much balance you can actually get.
Advice to Management: Consider how to offer more genuine work flexibility, especially for roles that don't absolutely require constant physical presence. Invest in better remote capabilities for engineers to truly support a modern hybrid model.

Flexibility is okay, could be better for engineers
Pros: Working as a Software Engineer, the hybrid model in the Plano office is decent. It's nice to have some days at home, which helps avoid the daily commute. Teams generally accommodate personal appointments if you communicate clearly.
Cons: The expectation to be in the office multiple days a week for some telecom projects feels a bit old-school. There isn't much leeway for true remote work, even for senior roles. It can be tough to align with global teams when you're tied to a physical desk so often.
Advice to Management: Consider loosening the reins on onsite requirements for roles that don't strictly need it. Trust your employees more with fully remote or more flexible hybrid options to boost morale and attract top talent in the competitive telecom space.

Hybrid model is okay, but could improve
Pros: Working as a Network Engineer at Ericsson, the hybrid model in the Plano, Texas office does offer some flexibility. It's nice to have a few days working from home, which is good for avoiding the commute sometimes. For telecom professionals, this arrangement can be decent.
Cons: Honestly, the 'hybrid' part sometimes feels like a buzzword. You're usually expected in the office 3 days a week, and some managers really push for more onsite time. There's not much real remote work option, and true flexibility for 5G projects is kinda limited.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to walk the talk on work flexibility. Trust your employees more with remote work, especially for experienced telecom engineers. Don't just call it 'hybrid' if you're pushing for everyone to be in the Plano, Texas office most of the time.

Okay flexibility, but room for improvement
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the initial remote work options during the pandemic were solid. I liked the hybrid model that followed, giving some WFH days. It's a decent setup for many in the telecom industry.
Cons: Still felt like I needed to be "on" a lot for meetings, even with flex hours. Management in the Plano, Texas office wasn't always consistent with WFH approvals, which was a tough pill. Some teams had better work flexibility than others.
Advice to Management: Standardize remote work policies across all departments. Give managers better tools and guidelines for approving flex work.

Okay flexibility, but room for improvement
Pros: For some roles, especially in 5G network development, there's a decent hybrid model option, usually 2-3 days in the Plano, TX office. It's nice to have that balance sometimes, not being fully onsite all week.
Cons: The remote work policies aren't always clear or consistent across teams. As a Software Engineer, I've seen teams struggle to get approvals for more WFH days, even when it makes sense for productivity. It feels like flexibility depends a lot on your specific manager, which is tough for a big corporate company.
Advice to Management: Standardize remote work policies more clearly across departments, especially for technical roles in the telecom industry. Trust teams and managers to decide what's best for productivity.

Okay Flexibility, But Really Team Dependent
Pros: I liked the initial hybrid model they offered; we got a couple of WFH days a week. For a big company in the telecom industry, that's pretty decent. My manager was also understanding if I needed to shift hours for appointments.
Cons: The flexibility really varied by team. Some teams were almost fully onsite, which sucked for people in the Plano, Texas office. Getting full remote work as a Software Engineer was nearly impossible, even after proving productivity.
Advice to Management: Standardize the work flexibility policy across departments. Don't let team leads dictate it entirely. Trust your employees more with remote work, especially for roles that don't require physical presence.

Hybrid Model Has Its Ups and Downs
Pros: As a Software Engineer working on 5G development, the hybrid model was actually pretty good for me. You get a couple of WFH days a week, which helps avoid the Dallas traffic.
Cons: Some teams in the Plano, TX office are mostly onsite, which can be tough if you need more flexibility. It often depends on your manager; some are stricter about office days than others.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid policy. It would help a lot if all teams had similar flexibility options, especially for project-based roles in the telecommunications industry.

Hybrid Model is Okay, But Varies a Lot
Pros: They officially offer a hybrid model, which is nice. As a Network Engineer, I could usually work from home a couple of days a week if my tasks allowed. It's good for avoiding the Plano, TX office commute sometimes.
Cons: The actual flexibility really depends on your direct manager, some push for more onsite time. It's tough when you're working on critical network infrastructure; WFH isn't always feasible for troubleshooting. Sometimes it feels like just lip service in this big telecom industry company.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid model across departments. Make sure all managers are on the same page regarding remote work options. Trust your employees more.

Okay flexibility, but room to grow.
Pros: I appreciate the hybrid model; it's a solid perk. As a Network Engineer in Plano, TX, I only need to be in the office a couple of days a week. It definitely helps with personal appointments.
Cons: Sometimes the flexibility feels inconsistent across different teams. You see other groups get full remote options, but not everyone in the telecom industry gets that. It can be tough when you need more flexibility.
Advice to Management: Standardize remote work policies more clearly. Make sure all managers support the hybrid model consistently across teams for better employee morale.
