Job Security is Okay, But Growth is Slow
Pros: Being part of a global corporate company like Biesse definitely helps with stability. They've got a solid client base in woodworking machinery, so there's always ongoing business. As a Sales Engineer, I felt my role was pretty essential, especially with service contracts.
Cons: The market for CNC machines can be a bit up and down, especially in Asia. It sometimes felt like my future here depended on big project wins, which added pressure. There isn't much room for quick advancement or new manufacturing solutions roles, making long-term growth feel uncertain.
Advice to Management: Focus on developing more diverse product lines to reduce reliance on specific market cycles. Create clearer career paths for technical sales roles to retain talent.
