Work-Life Balance is a Big Challenge Here
Pros: The team is generally supportive, which helps when you're overwhelmed with construction projects. You get good exposure to different aspects of the building industry. There's occasional flexibility if you absolutely need time off for an emergency, which is decent.
Cons: Expect really long hours, often working past 7 PM, especially as a Project Coordinator. Weekend calls are pretty common for urgent site work issues. The work-life balance in the Kuala Lumpur office can be tough to maintain, making personal life hard to plan.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to look at resource allocation and project timelines. The current workload for project-based roles isn't sustainable long-term. Encourage teams to disconnect outside of work hours to prevent burnout. Show more
