Okay, but work-life balance needs work.
Pros: It's a solid place for career growth if you're into biotech R&D. We often get decent project variety, which keeps things interesting. The team in the Kuala Lumpur office is generally supportive, especially during tough deadlines.
Cons: Honestly, work-life balance here is a bit tough for Research Scientist roles. There's a lot of pressure, and I've often put in 50-60 hour weeks, especially with tight deadlines for lab work. You can't really expect much work flexibility or WFH options; it's mostly onsite work.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into staffing levels for our biotech R&D projects. It'd help reduce the long hours for Research Scientist roles and improve overall morale. Better planning for lab work could also prevent those last-minute rushes.
