Junior Structural Engineer

Decent place for entry-level engineering, but long hours.

Pros: You learn a ton fast, especially on complex structural analysis. The team's pretty solid and always willing to help out, which is great for new grads. Onsite work provides good hands-on experience too.
Cons: The project deadlines mean long working hours, often past 7 PM. Weekend work isn't uncommon, and you don't always get compensated fairly for it. It's hard to maintain a personal life with these demands.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project timelines and perhaps staff up for bigger civil engineering projects. Recognizing and compensating for overtime would really help employee morale and retention. Show more
