Decent Leadership for a Mid-Sized Company
Pros: Immediate managers are usually supportive, especially if you're working on a critical software development project. They don't micromanage much, which is good for autonomy in the Kuala Lumpur office. It's a decent environment for a mid-sized corporate setup.
Cons: Higher leadership can be pretty disconnected from daily operations. They often make decisions that don't quite make sense for the engineering team. There's a lack of clear strategic vision, making it tough for long-term project planning.
Advice to Management: Try to get more involved with the actual engineering teams. We need clearer communication on company goals and how our software development fits into the bigger picture. Better training for mid-level managers on strategic planning would also help a lot.
