Okay Culture at a Growing Tech Startup

Pros: The team here, especially within the design department, is super collaborative. You really feel like you're learning a lot from experienced Senior Designers, which is great for career growth. They do try to have social events, like monthly happy hours in the San Francisco office, which helps with team bonding and makes the hybrid work model feel more connected.
Cons: However, the company culture can feel a bit cliquey outside of your direct team. There's not much interaction between different departments like marketing or engineering, which can create silos. Leadership sometimes struggles to communicate big picture changes, making it tough for employees across this fast-paced startup to understand the overall direction.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more cross-departmental interactions and clarify company-wide goals. This would really help with overall morale and alignment within the startup environment. Show more
