Leadership needs to step up in Kuala Lumpur retail.
Pros: I really liked working with the luxury watch products; they're genuinely impressive. My team in the Kuala Lumpur retail store was also super supportive, which made long retail hours bearable. We had good training on product knowledge, which is key for the industry.
Cons: Leadership from the top down felt pretty inconsistent. It was tough getting clear direction or support, especially for new sales associates. Management sometimes seemed disconnected from our daily challenges on the sales floor, impacting customer service quality.
Advice to Management: Managers need to be more present and provide clearer expectations for their retail teams. Regular check-ins and better communication would help everyone feel more supported on the sales floor.
