Pros: I liked the flexibility for hybrid work. As a Software Engineer, the projects were often interesting in terms of software development challenges. Decent PTO and generally 40-hour weeks.
Cons: Leadership felt pretty disconnected from day-to-day operations. Important decisions for engineering teams took forever to get approval. There wasn't much clear career pathing or mentorship from upper management at this tech startup.
Advice to Management: Management needs to get more involved with the teams and provide clearer direction. Invest in leadership training, especially for communication and career development for junior engineers.
