Okay Starter Pay, Benefits Could Be Better

Pros: As a Junior Software Engineer, the starting salary was decent for a fresh grad in Kuala Lumpur. They do have basic medical benefits and a standard EPF contribution, which is expected. Payroll is always on time, which is a plus.
Cons: It's hard to get significant raises, even after a year of solid performance in software development. The health benefits package feels pretty basic compared to other tech companies in the industry. Don't expect much in terms of bonuses or other perks beyond the essentials.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the annual salary increase structure and expanding the employee benefits package to be more competitive within the tech industry. It would help retain talent. Show more
