Solid Base Pay for Entry-Level Advisory
Pros: The starting salary for a financial analyst in our New York City office is pretty competitive for an entry-level position. They've got decent health insurance too, which is a big plus. It's a good place to get your foot in the door in the financial advisory industry.
Cons: Annual raises are often quite small, and the bonus structure isn't very transparent or generous. For a corporate advisory firm, I feel like the overall compensation package, especially total cash comp, could be better. Don't expect a lot of extra perks beyond the basics.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into making the bonus structure more clear and impactful. Also, consider more competitive annual raises to retain talent, especially for financial analyst roles.
