Work-Life Balance is Okay, Can Be Tough

Pros: The hybrid model is actually pretty good for a big tech company. I get two WFH days which helps cut down on the commute to the San Francisco office. When things are calm, it's a solid 40-hour week.
Cons: But as a Software Engineer, the workload can really pile up sometimes. You're often pushing 50+ hour weeks, especially before a release in enterprise software development. There's not always a clear boundary between work and personal time.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scope and set more realistic deadlines to prevent burnout for engineering teams. Clearer expectations on off-hours availability would also help. Show more
