Pay's Okay, Benefits Could Be Better

Pros: The basics are covered for sure. You get your standard EPF and SOCSO contributions as expected in Malaysia. It's a stable job as a Project Engineer, so you've got that security.
Cons: For the amount of work in the pollution control industry, the salary isn't competitive. Raises are pretty small, and there aren't many extra perks or bonuses. Don't expect top-tier healthcare benefits either; they're just basic.
Advice to Management: To attract and retain talent in the Kuala Lumpur market, management needs to seriously re-evaluate salary bands for Project Engineer roles and offer more comprehensive benefits, especially better healthcare and performance bonuses. Show more
