Good Balance and Supportive Environment for Growth
Pros: Working as a Project Coordinator at Cardinal Health in Dublin, OH, I really value the good work-life balance. My colleagues are very supportive, and I've gained solid experience in the healthcare services industry. It’s a stable company with a collaborative culture and decent learning opportunities.
Cons: Sometimes the internal approval processes can be a bit slow, occasionally impacting project timelines. Career growth, while present, feels somewhat slower for individual contributors hoping for quicker advancement.
Advice to Management: Focus on optimizing internal approval workflows to improve efficiency. Consider creating clearer, more expedited paths for individual contributors seeking promotions within their roles.

Leadership is hit or miss, depends on your team
Pros: I had a couple of really solid direct managers who pushed for growth. They were good at guiding us through complex healthcare supply chain projects. There's definitely opportunity to learn if you get with the right leadership team.
Cons: The consistency in leadership quality just isn't there. Some VPs feel pretty out of touch with daily operations for a Supply Chain Analyst. Decision-making can be slow, which is tough when you need to move fast in medical device distribution.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize leadership training across all departments. Encourage VPs and directors to spend more time understanding the day-to-day challenges faced by individual contributors. This disconnect really impacts morale and efficiency.

Logistics Coordinator

Work-life balance is okay, but can be tough
Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus, giving me a couple of WFH days which is great for personal appointments. Pay and benefits for a Logistics Coordinator are decent for central Ohio.
Cons: Even with hybrid work, the workload for medical supply chain roles can get intense, especially during peak times. As a big corporate, I've often felt pressure to work past 5 PM to meet deadlines in healthcare distribution.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage workloads for operations roles. Support team leads in protecting their team's time from constant requests.
