Pros: As a Software Engineer, the base salary here is pretty solid, especially for the San Francisco market. The health insurance is actually quite good, covers a lot of my family's needs. We also get a decent, if not stellar, annual bonus.
Cons: The 401k match is super low, like, it's not competitive for a mid-sized tech company. There aren't many extra perks you'd expect from a modern tech company, and stock options for engineering roles are almost non-existent.
Advice to Management: To attract and retain top engineering talent, management should definitely look into improving the 401k match. Also, adding some more relevant perks for a tech company, beyond just basic benefits, would really help.
