Good Experience for Project Engineers
Pros: I've enjoyed my time as a Project Engineer. The hybrid work setup is fantastic for work-life balance. My colleagues are supportive, making it a great learning environment. I've gained valuable skills in the renewable energy industry here.
Cons: Compensation could be better compared to other firms. Career progression sometimes feels slow, and internal approval processes, common for an established company, can be a bit bureaucratic, causing minor delays.
Advice to Management: Focus on making the compensation more competitive for Project Engineers and streamline some internal approval processes to accelerate project execution and career advancement.

Job Security is Decent, Depends on Projects
Pros: The renewable energy industry is growing, so there's usually a good pipeline of solar installations. As a Field Service Technician, I've had steady work for a while. The onsite field work keeps you busy.
Cons: It's a mid-sized company, and when big grid projects wrap up, you sometimes worry about the next one. There isn't always a clear long-term strategy for staffing beyond current contracts. This makes job security feel less solid.
Advice to Management: Management should communicate more about future project pipelines to help employees feel more secure. Maybe offer more internal training for slower periods to keep us utilized.

Field Service Technician

Decent for the industry, but flexibility is tough.
Pros: As a Field Service Technician, I did get some choice on morning routes sometimes. They try to be fair with overtime for solar energy projects. It's a busy industry, so there's always work.
Cons: True work-from-home isn't an option for field operations roles. Schedules change last minute a lot, especially in the Phoenix, AZ area with all the new installs. It's hard to plan personal stuff when you're onsite daily.
Advice to Management: Managers should try to give more notice for schedule changes. It would really help us Field Service Technicians plan our lives outside of work. A little more predictability for onsite shifts would go a long way.
