Supportive Team, Good Learning, and Work-Life Balance
Pros: I really like the supportive team culture and emphasis on work-life balance. As a Customer Support Specialist, it's a stable environment in the BPO industry to learn and develop communication skills. Colleagues are helpful, making it a positive place to work and grow professionally.
Cons: Career progression isn't always clear, and promotions can feel slow. Also, communication from leadership could be more consistent during busy periods. Just minor improvements.
Advice to Management: Continue to improve internal communication channels and clarify the pathways for career advancement.

Hybrid Work at Gabtech Global is Okay
Pros: They offer a hybrid work model, which is a nice perk for an IT services company. I could mostly WFH, only needing to be in the Atlanta, GA office a few days a week for essential in-person support. That flexibility for an IT Support Specialist was a solid benefit.
Cons: The 'flexibility' has its limits. Sometimes client emergencies meant being on call even on WFH days, which isn't ideal. There's pressure to respond to tech support tickets quickly, so it's not always a true 40-hour week, especially in the IT services industry.
Advice to Management: Clarify expectations around 'flexible' hours, especially for remote IT support. Recognize that being on-call outside of core hours significantly impacts work-life balance and true flexibility.

Decent Pay, But Benefits Need Work
Pros: The base salary for IT Consultant roles is pretty solid, I've got to say. For a remote position, it feels competitive and helps with the cost of living. There's also good work-life flexibility being remote, which is a major perk.
Cons: The benefits just aren't there. Health insurance premiums are too high for what you get, and it's tough to find a good plan. Plus, they don't offer any 401k match, which really hurts long-term financial planning. It's a noticeable gap compared to other tech companies.
Advice to Management: Seriously re-evaluate the benefits package. Better health insurance options and a 401k match would make a huge difference in attracting and retaining talent for IT services. It's a big factor for people in this industry.
