Decent stability for remote software roles
Pros: The job security here is pretty good for a tech startup, honestly. As a Software Engineer, I felt my position was fairly stable, which isn't always the case in the remote-first industry. They don't do crazy layoffs often, unlike some bigger tech companies.
Cons: Career growth is definitely a weak spot. There aren't many clear paths to move up for engineering roles, so it can feel a bit stagnant. Sometimes, I worried if a fully remote setup might make certain roles seem less critical long-term to management.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer career progression paths for remote employees, especially for core engineering roles. It'd help with retention.

Decent Pay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: As a Software Engineer here, the base salary was pretty decent for a fully remote tech company. I appreciated the full health coverage, which was a good perk. Working from home means a lot less stress and no commuting costs.
Cons: The 401k matching was nonexistent, which is a real bummer. Dental and vision benefits felt pretty minimal too. There wasn't much transparency on potential equity growth, which is tough for a startup.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing a 401k match and improving dental/vision plans to attract and retain top talent. Also, more clarity on equity options would really help in a competitive remote tech market.

Good Remote Work, Slow Career Path
Pros: I like the remote work flexibility for sure. As a Software Engineer, I've gained experience with modern cloud tools in the SaaS industry. The team is supportive and you learn a lot initially.
Cons: Beyond the initial learning, career growth feels pretty stagnant here. There aren't many opportunities for promotion or taking on bigger projects for engineering roles. It's tough to see a clear path upwards.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer paths for advancement, especially for experienced Software Engineers. Invest in internal promotions and skills development, not just hiring externally for senior engineering roles.
