Decent place for property management, but busy.
Pros: I've learned a ton about property management and estate operations here. The team for facilities management is generally supportive. It's a stable job in a big organization, which is a plus.
Cons: Work-life balance can be tough. As a Property Manager, there's a lot of onsite work and weekend events sometimes. It's not uncommon to put in long hours, especially during peak periods or when issues pop up.
Advice to Management: Try to implement better staffing models to reduce the workload on Property Managers. Encourage actual breaks and respect personal time, especially with the onsite work demands.

Decent base pay, but limited benefits for Facilities Executive
Pros: The base salary for a Facilities Executive in the estate management industry here is okay. You get standard medical benefits, which is a solid plus. There's good job security since it's a corporate, government-linked firm.
Cons: Annual bonuses aren't great, usually just 1 to 1.5 months, even in good years. Don't expect much in performance-based incentives for these property management roles. Other benefits, like dental or comprehensive wellness programs, are pretty lacking.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the annual bonus structure to make it more competitive and transparent. Adding better, more diverse benefits beyond just basic medical would really help with employee satisfaction and retention for facilities maintenance staff.

Leadership needs to step up support
Pros: The team environment is generally solid among Property Officers. I've learned a lot about public housing estate management and property maintenance while working onsite in Singapore, which is valuable for my career.
Cons: Leadership here is often out of touch with ground operations. They don't provide enough support or resources for property maintenance tasks, which makes our job as Property Officers harder. It feels like they just push down targets without understanding the challenges.
Advice to Management: Listen to your Property Officers and other ground staff. Understand the real challenges in public housing estate management before making big decisions. Provide better resources and training instead of just setting targets.
