Leadership has some bright spots, but needs work
Pros: Some direct managers are genuinely supportive. They'll back you up and help with career development for process engineer roles. There's good access to resources if you know how to ask. For a big tech company, the overall stability is there.
Cons: Upper management can feel pretty disconnected from daily operations. Decisions often come down without much input from the ground level. This makes it tough to feel heard, especially in an onsite work environment. There's not enough consistent leadership training.
Advice to Management: Focus on empowering middle management. Implement more consistent leadership training programs across all levels. Listen to feedback from the onsite teams more closely.

Culture is okay, but it's a grind
Pros: You get to work with really smart people on important memory chips. There's definitely job security here as a Process Engineer. It's a solid big tech company with decent benefits.
Cons: The company culture can feel pretty old-school sometimes. There's a lot of bureaucracy for semiconductor manufacturing decisions. Work-life balance isn't great, especially for onsite fab shifts in Boise.
Advice to Management: Try to update the corporate culture a bit. Empower teams more on day-to-day decisions. It would help with employee morale.

Okay for stability, tough for career growth.
Pros: You get decent job security, which is good in the semiconductor manufacturing space. The pay and benefits are also pretty solid for the Boise office, and there's good technical depth.
Cons: Career growth for design engineers often feels stalled. There aren't clear promotion paths, and you can get stuck at the same level for years. It's tough to move up if you're not in management.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer progression frameworks for individual contributors, especially for senior technical roles. Invest in mentorship programs to help engineers see a path forward.
