Financial Advisor

Okay work-life, but can be demanding
Pros: I've found decent work flexibility, especially with the hybrid work setup they offer for my Financial Advisor role. You can usually get your tasks done and sometimes even leave on time from the New York City office, which is nice. There's good potential for career growth if you're proactive.
Cons: The work-life balance here is a constant struggle, honestly. For client-facing roles, you're always on call, and expectations around media deals and managing big accounts can mean very long days. It's tough to really switch off and not think about work.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries for after-hours communication, especially for those in client-facing roles. Empower managers to help their teams disconnect more often.

Decent for the Sports Industry, but Hybrid is a must
Pros: They've got a decent hybrid model for most corporate roles, allowing 2-3 days WFH, which is nice for avoiding the NYC commute. As a Sports Marketing Coordinator, you get some flexibility with project deadlines if you plan ahead.
Cons: Full remote isn't really an option unless you're in a very specific, senior role; most of us in event management are expected in the NYC office regularly. Sometimes the "flexible hours" just mean you're expected to be available for evening events without comp time.
Advice to Management: Offer more consistent flexible hours for event staff and clearly define expectations around hybrid versus fully remote roles to avoid confusion.

Good for starting out, but growth is slow
Pros: You get to work on some pretty big sports media projects. It's great exposure to the industry, especially in talent management. The NYC office has solid networking opportunities as an Associate Producer.
Cons: The career growth path isn't clear for many junior roles. It's tough to get promoted within your current team. You often have to leave or switch departments to actually move up.
Advice to Management: Create clearer promotion tracks for junior staff. Invest more in internal mobility programs and development for production roles.
