Culture is okay, some good, some challenging
Pros: People are generally friendly in the Hanoi office, which makes daily work pleasant. There are some solid team bonding events, and it's easy to connect with peers in the IT services industry. You can learn a lot if you find the right senior mentors.
Cons: Cross-departmental communication isn't always smooth, which can make projects complicated. Sometimes it feels like different teams operate in silos. New hires might find it tough to break into established social circles here.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more integrated team environments and ensure all employees, especially new joiners, feel a part of the broader company culture. Improving transparency in decision-making would also help.

Decent Pay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: As a Software Engineer in the Hanoi office, the base salary is competitive for the IT services industry. They offer solid health insurance and a 13th-month bonus, which is pretty standard here.
Cons: The annual raises aren't huge; sometimes they barely keep up with inflation, so salary growth is slow. Don't expect many unique perks or stock options, especially compared to bigger tech companies.
Advice to Management: Management should look into better incentive programs and more competitive annual raises, especially for senior software development roles, to retain talent. Also, consider some non-traditional benefits to stand out.

Hybrid model is okay for Software Engineers
Pros: They offer a pretty solid hybrid work model. You get a couple of WFH days each week, which is nice. It definitely helps with the Hanoi traffic.
Cons: But it's not truly flexible; core hours are pretty strict. As a Software Engineer, sometimes I just want to focus without interruptions. Getting approval for extra remote days can be tough.
Advice to Management: Consider loosening up the core hours a bit more. Trust your employees, especially in tech roles, to manage their time. More flexibility would boost morale and productivity.
