Pros: It's nice that there's a hybrid model, letting us work from home a couple of days a week. For a financial services firm in New York City, that's a decent start. It helps cut down on the commute and offers some flexibility.
Cons: But the 'flexible hours' they talk about? Not really. As a Financial Analyst, my schedule is pretty rigid, regardless of WFH days. You're expected to be available for client calls and team meetings during core business hours, which limits true work flexibility.
Advice to Management: Try to actually implement more flexible hours, not just a hybrid schedule. Empower managers to trust their teams, especially for roles like Financial Analysts, to manage their own time more effectively.
