Culture's fine, but growth is a bit slow.
Pros: The team here in the Austin, TX office is genuinely supportive, especially for new folks like me as a Junior Software Engineer. We often do team lunches, which is a nice touch, and the tech industry vibe is casual.
Cons: Sometimes the company culture feels a little cliquey, which can be tough. There's not a lot of clear career progression for entry-level engineering roles, which is a bit of a bummer.
Advice to Management: Try to make career paths clearer for junior roles. Also, encourage more cross-team socializing to break down any cliques.

Okay Work-Life, Some Remote Perks
Pros: I've enjoyed the remote work flexibility as a Software Engineer here. It's great to manage my schedule from Seattle. For a mid-sized tech company, the standard workweek is usually 40 hours, which is pretty solid.
Cons: Sometimes, for development roles, project deadlines get really tight. This means I've had to put in longer hours, especially before big releases. It's not always easy to disconnect completely in a WFH setup when things are crazy.
Advice to Management: Try to improve project planning to avoid those last-minute crunch periods. Better foresight would really help the team maintain a consistent work-life balance.

Solid place for junior engineers, but growth slows.
Pros: If you're a junior Software Engineer, there's good exposure to new tech stacks. You can learn a lot quickly, especially with the hybrid work setup in our Austin office. It's a decent tech startup to get your foot in the door.
Cons: Career progression for mid-level folks really stalls out. There aren't many senior roles opening up, so it's tough to move up without a lot of internal lobbying. Mentorship beyond the initial ramp-up isn't consistent.
Advice to Management: Create clearer paths for career growth, especially for mid-level engineers. Invest in more structured mentorship programs for experienced staff to help them advance. This will improve retention for technical talent.
