Long hours impact work-life balance
Pros: I've learned a ton about the optical industry here. For an Optician role, you get solid experience with diverse patients. The team in the Chicago office is really good, always ready to help out.
Cons: Work-life balance is tough. You're expected to stay late often, even if your patient schedule is done. There's almost zero work flexibility; it's always an onsite job, no WFH options for us.
Advice to Management: Try to respect employee end times more consistently. Maybe look into staffing models that prevent needing everyone to stay super late. Better work-life balance would help retention. Show more
