Pay is Okay, Benefits Could Be Better

Pros: The starting salary for a Software Engineer at Salient Information Sdn Bhd was pretty competitive, especially fresh out of uni. They do offer basic health insurance, which is a good standard for a mid-sized tech firm in Malaysia.
Cons: Annual raises aren't great; you won't see much movement unless you change roles. The benefits package itself is pretty minimal beyond health; things like dental or higher provident fund contributions are missing. For information technology professionals, the overall compensation package isn't top-tier.
