Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work option. As a Software Engineer in the tech industry, being able to WFH a few days a week really helps cut down on the daily commute in Kuala Lumpur. It's decent for some work-life balance.
Cons: However, it's a pretty fixed hybrid model. We can't really choose our onsite days, and there's pressure to be in the office more often than not, especially for specific engineering project milestones. Don't expect full remote work here.
Advice to Management: Try to make the hybrid schedule more truly flexible. Trust your teams, especially for software development, to manage their time remotely. Less fixed days would improve morale for the engineering staff.
