Okay Place, But Career Growth Stalls

Pros: You do get to work on diverse software development projects, which is good exposure. I learned a lot about different tech stacks in the retail software industry. The team itself is pretty solid and supportive in the Kuala Lumpur office.
Cons: Career progression is a big issue for engineers here. There's no clear path to move up beyond a senior role, so you can feel stuck. Promotions are rare, and it's hard to see how you'd grow your skills long-term in this corporate structure.
Advice to Management: Management needs to seriously look at creating defined career paths for technical roles, especially for Software Engineers. Invest in professional development and mentorship programs to keep talent from looking elsewhere. Show more
